Frequently asked questions about data access, results interpretation, and data packages
What is included in the data package, and how is the data pre-processed?
Your data package includes all necessary information for a full analysis:
Included data:
Data pre-processing: The raw data undergoes some initial correction before you receive it. The instrument software automatically corrects for vertical shifts that occur when sensors move between wells. We also perform a baseline drift correction by subtracting the signal from a zero-concentration reference sample to account for any ligand dissociation or other baseline fluctuations over time.
How can I access my experimental data, including raw data?
Yes, you have full access to all your experimental data through our Foundry Portal. The portal allows you to download a comprehensive results package, which includes not only the final processed data but also all the raw binding curves and sensograms directly from the instrument.
To download this, simply click the arrow next to the ‘Download Data’ button in the portal and select ‘Download additional raw data’. This enables you to perform your own independent analysis if desired.
How do you address data discrepancies or concerns about results?
We take data quality seriously and have established processes to address any concerns:

Do you provide example datasets?
Yes, we can provide example datasets to help you understand the format and content of our results packages. These anonymized examples demonstrate:

Who owns the intellectual property (IP) and data generated from my experiments?
Data ownership: You retain full ownership of all data generated from your experiments. The results, including processed data and raw measurements, belong entirely to you.
Sequence confidentiality: Your protein sequences and experimental designs remain strictly confidential and are protected under our standard confidentiality agreements.
IP protection: We do not claim any intellectual property rights over your protein designs, sequences, or the insights derived from experimental results.
Data security: All data is stored securely and access is restricted to authorized personnel directly involved in your project.
Publication rights: You are free to publish or patent any discoveries based on the experimental results. We may reference general technical capabilities in our publications but will not disclose specific customer data without explicit permission.
